Workshop #1 – 3/27

Workshop #1 – March 27, 2016, 4:00PM – 5:00PM, 7th Floor Vaughn Center

This was the first Workshop I hosted at The University of Tampa as a Microsoft Student Partner. We ran into some issues deploying with Project Nami and Azure, but we were able to navigate around the problems and ultimately each person got set up with a WordPress site. We discussed DreamSpark, WordPress, Project Nami, and Personal Branding through a PowerPoint presentation and each student applied this knowledge by launching their own website. I encouraged a few students to purchase their FirstNameLastName.com domain and many of them did. Students left with a better understand of internet identity control through the use of FREE Microsoft tools that they can take advantage of as college students at The University of Tampa. The next workshop is on April 22 and you can learn more about it here.
